Founded in 1990 by Ted Kohn, Cash Magazine is the oldest direct mail advertising program in the Savannah market. A 1989 graduate of The University of Georgia, Kohn began selling direct mail advertising in Athens as a student in 1986. In 1988, with one class left to graduate, Kohn moved to Savannah to launch TANSTAAFL (There ain't no such thing as a free lunch), a franchise program of the product he sold for in Athens, GA. In 1990, TANSTAAFL's franchise operations went under and Cash Magazine was born.
